Just an update of the growing garden. I've started using the herbs in cooking and it's been delicious. The vegetables, on the other hand, are still in their infancy. I'm looking for a dwarf lemon tree because it sweet to make fresh lemonade from my own tree!!
herbs & vegetables (sweet basil, sage, thyme, rosemary, cilantro, fennel, green peppers, squash, tomatoes - early girls and patios)
I thought I had killed the plant because it got dried and shrively, but it came back to life and I have 2 tomatoes growing!
flowers - by the way, the gardenia now has three blooms but the Christmas cactus is still in revolt, it sprouts buds then they refuse to open.

One of my recent projects was to convert my cement deck to a garden to make it a more pleasurable spot as it is going to serve as my office for the summer. Thus, I got piles of soil, planters, seeds, a couple of plants, herbs galore, etc. Today, I found my first official blossom - one of my gardenia buds opened. I'm just thrilled and it smells heavenly!
